Dice Tower Kickstarter Previews
Thank you for your interest in a Dice Tower Kickstarter Preview !

To date, we have done dozens of these previews and have received testimonials from many Kickstarter project managers explaining the positive effects that they have had.
What does our schedule look like ?
Our current schedule is full for Preview videos through April of 2014.
As such, we will be accepting no further videos until March.
Due to increased demand and limited time, we have recently updated our policy with changes to take place as of 03/01/2014.
For those updated policies, please continue reading.
What am I paying for ?
Dice Tower Preview videos are an advertising method which exposes your Kickstarter project (and of course your game!) to the existing Dice Tower Audience. Currently, our Youtube channel has over 54,000 subscribers looking for all the latest news, reviews, previews, and information about the wide world of board gaming.

When we record a video preview, we are essentially introducing the game play as well as the key and interesting features to our audience. As this is not a review, our predominant video format, we will notify our viewers that they are watching a paid preview, NOT a review. As such, we MAY say that we like or love the game, and we will never say that we dislike it - but will also not lie. We can't feign excitement…but we can be as positive for your project as possible.

Regardless of this, what you can expect is exposure via our youtube channel, our boardgamegeek viewers, and our personal twitter networks.
How do I book a Kickstarter preview ?
The demand for Kickstarter previews is quite high - and since we don't want to dilute the Youtube channel with too many previews, we have implemented limitations as to how many previews we will take per month. These limitations are as follows:

Ryan Metzler – 2 per month - $375 / preview
Dan King (GameBoyGeek) – 2 per month - $375 / preview

Please note that our queue does fill up quickly, and at times we are booked 4 months (or more) in advance. Correspondingly, you should email Ryan at dtpreviews@gmail.com to find the next currently available date. We also reserve the right to refuse projects that we find uninteresting, or those that do not fit our model (which is predominantly board and card games).

Our current preview cost is $375, with the project manager choosing their desired previewer to film the game (assuming they are available). If your desired previewer is unavailable, you will have the option of choosing the alternative previewer (subject to availability). In addition, some additional charges may pertain to your project.
Please consider the following in your budgeting for a Dice Tower Preview
Does your game take more than 2 hours to play ?

If so, there is a $50 additional charge due to the difficulty of playing and covering the details of your game.

Does your project start less than 1 month from the date of booking ?

If so, there is a $50 additional charge for a “rush job”, schedule permitting.

Do you wish to pay via paypal ?

If so, there is a $10 additional charge to cover the processing fees associated with that form of payment.

Do you wish for your prototype to be returned after the preview is filmed ?

If so, an additional fee will be assessed to cover this cost.
The process for booking and obtaining a video preview is as follows
1) Email dtpreviews@gmail.com to inquire about our availability for a preview. The more information you have about the start date of your project, the better we will be able to book you!

2) We will help you book a tentative date if we have one available.Keep in mind, when choosing your date, that we reserve the right to post up to 3 days after your chosen date (IE. If you choose April 1st, we may post as late as April 4th)

3) Submit payment in full before the work is started. Payment can be sent via paypal (for a $10 additional charge) to dicetower@gmail.com, or may be sent to The Dice Tower, 1426 NE 9th Ct., Homestead, FL 33033. Please note, a booking is not solidified until payment has been received.

4) You send us the prototype (the nicer it looks, the better!) and the rules. Please confirm with your previewer (Ryan or Dan) as to their preferred shipping address.

5) We will playtest the game, calling you if we have comments and/or need clarifications.

6) We will film and edit the video, providing you with a low-resolution copy in order to obtain your approval. You can ask us to fix and or change parts of the video, but note that doing so will likely take a day or two each time.

7) You launch the Kickstarter on the date you planned.

8) As soon as you launch your project (or earlier/later if you know a set date and time), let us know. We will then embed a link to the Kickstarter in the video and publish it to Youtube as a public video. In addition, Ryan or Dan will post a link to the video on Board Game Geek. Please allow up to 3 days of leeway time in posting (as mentioned in step 2).
Disclaimer

While we can guarantee you that we will do our best to present your game
and provide you with many viewers, we cannot guarantee the success of the project.

That ultimately depends on the quality of the game.
What we can do is point more people towards your project, especially in a crowded field.
